The Office of the Comptroller would like to remind all taxpayers that Sunday, July 31st is the deadline for 2nd installment payment for City Property Tax and City Sustainability Refuse Fee. If payments are made online, please note payments made after the deadline (11:59pm on Sunday, July 31st) will incur interest and penalty charges.      Online payments can be made at Info-Tax Online (infotaxonline.com) or Pay Property Tax | Mount Vernon, NY (cmvny.com).   In addition, the Finance Department will be open for extended hours on Saturday, July 30th from 9am – 12noon for in-person payments.      Since the deadline falls on a Sunday, taxpayers have until Monday, August 1st at 4:30pm to pay in person at the Finance Department without penalty.      -Comptroller Darren M.
