On Monday, May 30, 2022, the City of Mount Vernon will hold its annual Memorial Day observances. The day begins with a Wreath Laying Ceremony at City Hall at 8:30 AM.
Immediately following the ceremony, the 2022 Memorial Day Parade will leave from the corner of Prospect and Park Avenues and head south on 1st Ave, west on 3rd Street, and finally north on 4th Ave and all the way up Gramatan Ave to Hartley Park. Due to Covid-19 this is the first parade the City has had in 3 years and is anticipating historic turnouts to view the community performance groups and paid acts.
