Mount Vernon, NY - In a collaborative effort, Mayor Shawyn Patterson-Howard, City Council President Derrick Thompson and City Comptroller Darren M. Morton signed off today on a Corrective Action Plan (CAP) following the eye-opening NYS Comptroller Audit into Non-Payroll Disbursements from January 2017 to September 2020. The plan takes 20 recommendations from the January 2022 Audit Report (2021M-163) and details the policies & procedures implemented in the first four months and highlights actions to be taken over the next year.
