Mount Vernon Insider: City of Mount Vernon: Senator Majority Leader Chuck Schumer & Congressman Jamaal Bowman deliver $3M to the City of Mount Vernon.

 

Today, I want to thank our Senate Majority Leader Senator Chuck Schumer and Congressman Jamaal Bowman for coming together and collaborating with Mount Vernon to deliver $1.5 million dollars each totaling in $3 million to supercharge Mount Vernon’s repairs for our 100 year old wastewater system.

With these funds, Mount Vernon will be able to hire expert engineers to formulate a comprehensive plan for access to clean water and a functioning water system.
