Join Us Tomorrow in Unity!

Fellow Mount Vernonites,

It is official! The votes have been counted and certified by the Westchester Board of Elections. I am now the Democratic Nominee for Mayor of The City of Mount Vernon. This was a long road filled with challenges, but you showed everyone the power of a community united. Thank you again to everyone who donated, volunteered their time and energy, made phone calls, sent emails, posted on social media, or spoke to their friends and family about this campaign. We did this!

We now move into the next phase of this movement. The General Election is on Tuesday, November 5th, 2019. As we head toward the election, let us consider the future of Mount Vernon - a future where our city is united and focused on opportunities, rather than division. TOMORROW, Saturday, July 20th the Democratic Party will come together to hold a press conference about the future of our community. Members of the Democratic Party in attendance will be:
  • County Executive George Latimer
  • Democratic Party Chairman Reginald A. LaFayette
  • Congressman Eliot L. Engel, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee
  • Senator Jamaal Bailey
  • Senator Shelley Mayer
  • Assemblyman J. Gary Pretlow
  • Councilwoman Lisa Copeland
  • Councilwoman Janice Duarte
  • Councilman Marcus Griffith
  • Derrick Thompson - Democratic Nominee for Mount Vernon City Council
Please join us as we discuss our efforts to unite this city and strengthen our connection with Westchester County. #ForwardTogether
